Life’s Seasons

Just as the leaves fall from the trees,
life can change for you and me,
one time happy, another time sad,
very quickly you have less than you had.

One day very healthy
and the next very, very sick,
just like the various seasons,
life can change very quick.

Friends by the numbers,
then suddenly very few,
part of life’s seasons,
the old and the new.

So thanks to you, Jesus,
being the same from the start,
as life’s seasons come and go,
only yours stays true in my heart.

Some Pictures From God

I woke up this morning
with a cramp in my leg.
“Oh Lord”, I cried,
“not this again I beg.”

It seemed like only last month
a pain in my body I did feel.
“Please tell me why, Lord,
another one is so real?

I wanted to go shopping
and out to see my friends.
I wanted to go walking,
why is this happening to me again?”

The Lord waited patiently,
for my whining to cease.
Then said, “I want to show you some pictures
of some of my children so at peace.

You won’t hear many complaining
of what their day did bring.
But each one was sitting
and from their hearts did they sing.

They sang “God Bless America”,
and “The Pledge of Allegiance” did they recite.
The smiles on their faces,
to Me, brought so much delight.

So I know your cramp is unpleasant,
but soon will disappear.
But my concern is more for your heart
that to Me is not very near.

So as you look at each of My children,
in these pictures I sent to you,
I’m waiting very patiently
that someday you will understand too!”

It’s Jesus!

It was just another day,
my thoughts were of family and friends.
I was thinking of what I was going to do,
not thinking today this life on earth would truly end.

It was like so many other days,
the sunshine filled the sky.
But all of sudden it was the brightest day ever,
I looked up and said, “It’s Jesus!”, He said, “Yes, it is I!”

As I looked around I saw neighbors,
family, friends and even some people I did not know.
Jesus looked at each one
but to certain ones He said, “Come, its time to go home.”

I just stood there crying
then Jesus came to me.
He said, “As a young boy you asked Me into your heart,
what are you crying about, what can it be?”

I said, “My Lord, the tears are not for me
but for so many that would not let go.
Their lives were consumed by the many worldly lies,
even though you loved them so.”

Jesus smiled and wiped my tears
and said, “Come, life now truly begins!
As it was written in My Word,
blessed are the believers, for they are the ones that win!”

The Hands of the Clock

The hands of the clock
keep going around,
not stopping for life
or time to slow down.

With each tick that passes
brings something so new,
for each one of us
haven’t been there yet, very true.

And we cannot feel bad
for time not well used,
as the hands of the clock click away,
it’s up to us what we choose.

So to all my family, friends
and the many more people I may meet,
may the hands of my clock
bring many memories so sweet.

And always remember
one day this life’s clock will end.
But the souls clock never stops
for it clicks forever, my friend.

Live each tick to the fullest,
embrace each day with a grin,
and I pray the hands of your clock
bring you closer to Him!

The Leader

The leader walked in the room
and said, “Come with me and see.”
Each person looked around and said,
“Was that said to you or to me?”

As the leader walked out the door,
someone said so loud and clear,
“Why should we follow you?
What made you come in here?”

The leader walked back in and said,
“I know the way we should go,
and it’s important you follow me
because I love you so!

In this life there are two choices
to lead or be led.
It’s better we journey this together
and as a leader I’ll look ahead.

I’ll watch for any dangers,
I’ll teach you as I learn.
We can share life together
and tend to each other’s concerns.

And someday when you are ready,
you might want to lead.
For you will want to be a leader,
because of your love and the need!”

This Man Named Mike

A gentle man
with a friendly grin,
you felt his presence
as soon as he walked in.

He never complained
or let out a yelp.
This man named Mike
just wanted to help.

He didn’t look for thanks
or pats on the back.
Whatever job you asked of him,
for eagerness, he definitely did not lack.

And to the people around him
and those he did not know,
his willingness to help all,
from his character, he did show.

So praise be to God
because what it has meant,
for the time knowing Mike
was time well spent.

We Are to be His Eyes, Ears, Hands and Feet

With my eyes I am looking for sinners,
yes, people just like me.
With my heart is where I keep Jesus
because He first loved me.

So everyday I find one,
a sinner lost and looking to be free,
I tell them of my friend Jesus
and what He did for me.

He took away my hurting,
He filled my heart with love,
He gives work for me to do for Him
until that day we’re together above.

So with my ears I will listen,
with my eyes I will definitely seek,
with my hands I will embrace them
that He brings me to, with my feet.

They being the sinners,
yes, the ones just like me.
All they have to do is choose,
so with Him they can also be.

The Quiet Gentleman

Every time I was near him
a grin on his face did show.
Few words did speak, but when he did
it was something we needed to know!

He was a quiet gentleman
making all around feel at ease.
One thing I know for sure,
with Vern, God was surely very pleased.

I knew him for a little while,
some for sure more than me,
but that little time I knew him,
made him special as can be.

The last time that I saw him
we both were teary eyed.
For this quiet gentleman and I
were saying our final goodbye’s.

But what was most important
as we held hands and prayed,
we both knew deep in our hearts,
our souls would meet again someday!

For You, Mindy

Every time I hugged you
it was always from the heart.
It was given so you would always know
you’ve been special from the start.

Some friends come and go
but what makes some different from the rest,
are the ones that stay in our memories
as we go through some of life’s tests.

These special friends have touched my heart
in a way that only God knew was true.
It could have been in a smile
or just something special that you do.

So even though we are apart
and the hugs may never more be,
I just wanted to let you know,
Mindy, you’ll always be special to me!

Please Let Me Use

Please let Me use your heart,
the one that you gave to Me,
so all my wounded children can feel
the love that they desperately need.

Please let Me use your eyes
so from My Word you can read.
Teach them what was written
and just how important it is to Me.

Please let Me use your hands,
to reach out and touch for Me,
to hold My children ever so close
for that’s so important for them, you see.

Please let me use your time
before it all runs out.
Please let me use your being
for that’s what it is all about!

Another One Gone

Another summer come and gone
another “Wow Cow” missed,
another time missed being with my friends,
I’ll just add it to the list.

Another chance to get together
to laugh and have some fun.
Another memory that will not be,
why do we keep missing these ones?

Well maybe next summer we will find some time
before they have all run out.
Just wanted you both to know,
being together is what it’s all about!

So bring on fall and winter too,
lets get them out of the way
that will bring us closer to summer again.
Maybe I’ll hear then, “lets go get a Wow Cow today!”

The Morning of September 12th

It was the morning of September 12th,
something was different indeed.
A piece of every American,
was missing and we no longer felt free.

The churches became full again.
Many cried out to God.
Many probably blamed Him,
because they were so mad.

How could God let this happen,
probably so many did ask?
But His children knew the answer,
it was man’s choice, like all the rest.

Now also in that morning,
if you listened to Heaven above,
3000 plus souls were returning home
and once again surrounded by His love.

So to all of us that were left behind,
our job is still so great.
We must tell everyone about God,
before it is too late!

Just A Number

45 is just a number,
the meaning must come from us.
The occasion is the reason,
that we make it such a fuss.

For me it represents the years,
that I have really loved you.
See after each year the number changes,
but not the feeling, that is true.

So happy 45th,
may we have many more.
So may each year my love increase,
yes, more than the year before!

I Was

I was a sinner, now I’m a Saint,
I was lost, now I’m found,
I was blind but now I see
that my God is all around.

I was hurting but now I’m healed.
I was bound but now I’m free.
I was confused but now I know,
Jesus’ true love He has for me.

I was addicted, but now I’m not,
I was struggling, but not anymore.
I was the abuser, a curser, the enemy,
but God wasn’t keeping score.

Everything that I was,
that He definitely is not,
He took it all upon Himself
and left it all nailed to the Cross!

Special Pumpkin

God wanted a little pumpkin
for His light to shine through,
so the pumpkin angel started searching
for just any pumpkin would not do.

The first pumpkin he looked at
was oblong and really out of shape.
The pumpkin angel quickly threw it back,
because for God only the best would rate.

He kept on looking all around
and said, “Where must it be?”
I must find the special one,
as he threw back two and three.

Now God was watching from above
as His angel was in the patch.
four, five, six, and seven all no good
and not many more were left in the batch.

God said to His special angel,
the first one was just right for me.
It is not about the looks of the pumpkin
But the light that shines for all to see!

The Use Of A Talent

A talent is given
as a special gift
to touch someone else
and give their souls a lift.

A talent is something
that was made just for you
to share with many others,
for it may be what just gets them through.

A talent is from God
customized just for you,
see God has faith
that you will use it too.

So whatever He gave you
if used by hand or by voice,
God can’t use this talent to bless others
unless you make the choice.

A Friend’s Seasons

I have nice friends,
that when I’m with them makes me glow.
For every time I'm with them,
there’s so much I want to know.

When they’re happy,
it’s like Summer with sun all around,
Warming each moment we’re together
sharing the joys to be found.

Then comes the Fall,
a cool time can be had.
Sometimes there is less sun,
and happiness turns to sad.

No one wants what’s next,
bitter air chills the soul,
was it something that was said?
No one really knows.

A heart touched by frost,
Oh when will it end?
Praise be to God,
here comes the Spring again!

A Special Hug

I have special friends
that I want to give a hug,
but I never get to see them,
they are hiding from this mug.

Days come and days go by
and they're no where to be found.
How can I give them this special hug
when they are no longer around?

I do hug other people,
for it is needed for me, you see,
but special hugs are different
for they are special as can be.

So be careful, special friends
for this I tell you so,
the next time when we meet,
after my hug, I won't let you go!

What More Can I Do?

How can I reach them, Lord,
please tell me what more can I do?
It appears the harder I try
the farther they get away from You.

I try to show them by Your example,
from the Bible I quote Your Word.
It’s like telling them of something
that most have never heard.

What can I do, Lord,
to help them understand
everything they are destroying on earth
was created by Your own loving hands?

Please understand, Lord,
I’m not giving up on You.
You are the most important person in my life,
I just want everyone to feel that way too!

Touch Someone For Me

As I awoke this morning from sleep
and my eyes opened to see,
the Lord spoke to my heart and said,
“Touch someone for me!”

He said, “Tell someone that I love them,
and if you follow my commandments you will too,
please touch someone for Me today
before the day is through!”

So as I started on my way,
I saw someone that was in need.
I said, “Is there something I can do for you,
what is it, please tell me, what can it be?”

The person looked me in the eyes
and said, “Why do anything for me?”
I smiled and said, “Because I was in need one day,
and thank God, someone took their time, you see!

See God spoke to my heart today
and brought me here just for you.
Because of His love for all of us,
He knew just what you needed too.”

So listen ever so carefully, my friends,
when God tells you what to do.
For when He says, “Touch someone for Me,”
It’s about Him, and not about you!

He Is The Light

“There is light at the end of the tunnel”,
is a saying I heard someone say.
But did you ever walk in darkness
with no light to show the way?

Each step is always uncertain
for you don’t know what lies ahead.
Oh, for just a little light to shine,
to remove this fear and dread.

Then all of a sudden a voice
spoke clearly to my heart.
“Do not be afraid, child of Mine
for with Me there is no dark!

The light is always there,
for with your heart to see.
The darkness is from your mind,
the light is from your heart, that is truly Me!”

My Thoughts

I went to a wake yesterday,
for a family that lost their son.
As I left the funeral home I thought
their sorrow has just begun.

I thought of a lot of seniors,
in nursing homes, feeling lost and in despair.
Each one’s face seem to be saying,
please tell me, why am I living here?

I thought of all the people,
with no job and nothing to eat.
So many whose lives have now changed,
homeless and living in the streets.

Then I thought of the many
fighting addictions everyday.
And also those with mental and physical problems,
how do they make it through the day?

I raised my head above and asked God,
“Why must this all be?”
God touched my heart and said,
“It’s called life, a time to learn about Me.

Shortly this life will be over,
yes, no more sorrow, no more pain.
There will be no memory of it,
for it will all be erased in My Son’s Name!

So please stay focused, child of Mine,
as this life on earth goes on.
Remember to tell all you see about Me,
and of the Spirit, and Jesus My loving Son.

See, one day all will know
and will truly understand.
Just as it was written in My Word,
there is a place called Heaven, yes, a Promised Land.”

The Face in the Mirror

I looked in the mirror
and what did I see,
the face of Jesus
looking back at me.

I said, “Oh Lord ,
how can this be?
The things I’ve done
You can’t really want to be me!

You never sinned
or did any wrong,
How can I possibly think
being with You I belong?”

Then within a moment
He spoke to my heart.
“The past is forgiven,
let Me be your new start!

If you can say yes
and finally agree,
then the reflection in the mirror
will always be Me.”

Jesus Is Hope!

Jesus is hope
when all is gone,
He is there,
when life seems wrong.

Jesus will be
what you will need,
He is the light,
when dark you see.

Jesus will take
away the pain,
and give you back
that hope again.

Is there any hope,
is what you ask?
Remember Jesus is the first,
and never the last.

So in this life
there will be pain,
I pray you understand
In Jesus name.

What a Friend I Have In Jesus

To all my friends and family,
who think with me, Jesus is just a trend.
Please remember when I tell you
He is the beginning, not the end!

My walk will only strengthen
as each day comes and goes,
for my life is now His,
and this Jesus truly knows.

that He is speaking through me to you.
For His mission for me is awesome,
and there is so much He wants me to do.

This year is almost over,
2009 is almost at its end.
If you thought I loved Him this year,
wait until next year, 2010!

Final Journey

The trip was a little bumpy,
as I was leaving earth.
I heard a lot of voices,
more then was at my birth.

One voice said, “I wish there was
more that we could do!”
Another one said sadly,
“So much for someone to go through.”

The farther away we got,
the quieter it became.
Then very softly I heard
the Savior call my name.

Though there were others with me
who left at just the same time,
some were being taken to a different place,
Jesus said , “No not that one, he is mine!”

Each one was looking at Jesus,
for they now did understand,
some the trip would start getting bumpier,
the others were headed to the promise land.

The ones that were not chosen
cried out, “How can this be?”
Jesus said, “The decision was yours,
you chose something, but it was not me!”

The Baby Cried

The baby cried, and God spoke
amid the hay on the ground.
The King of Kings lay in a manger
with animals all around.

The baby cried, the Lord did speak
but not many did hear the sound.
Just Mary, Joseph and three wise men
with the animals gathered around.

The baby cried, it was the Great I Am,
and that sound you can hear today.
The Angels voices rang from Heaven,
Christ was born in Bethlehem, so far away.

The baby cried, and the Savior said,
“I Am the Holy One.”
Then God the Father spoke to all,
“Behold my glorious Son!”

Dear friends and family, please listen close
to hear this baby’s cry!
The sound of love that He did speak,
was meant for you and I!

What Can It Be

What is it that makes me want
to write poems and sing to Thee?
What is it that makes me long for You,
please tell me Lord, what can it be?

Why am I so consumed,
to search for You every morning, noon and night?
Please tell me Lord what more can I do,
to be more pleasing in Your sight?

What can it be that makes me want,
to reach out to You above?
With my eyes I am always looking,
with my ears, listening for Your Words of love.

I know the answer will come one day,
when we stand together face to face,
then I will know and understand
when my Savior I finally embrace!

Planting Seeds

I am His little gardener,
whom God chose me to be.
He said, “Little gardener of Mine,
go plant these love seeds for Me.”

I said, “Lord where do I plant
these seeds of Your love?”
God said, “Just listen to your heart,
as I speak to you from above.

Do not be surprised
if rejected now and then,
these seeds are the beginning
that will spiritually nourish them to the end.”

So I reached deep into my heart,
and grabbed one of His special love seeds.
From my mouth they were planted as I said,
“This is from God’s love, and also they are from me!”

Then and Now

Many, many years ago,
back in the Garden of Eden,
Adam and Eve, because of their sin,
from God’s eyes they wanted to be hidden.

Though God called out to each of them
and knew exactly where they were,
Adam and Eve‘s sin seemed so much greater
than the relationship with God they wanted to share.

Though many days have passed since then
and in this world sin is still all around,
God is still calling out to you and me
and knows exactly where we are to be found.

Please listen to His Words of love
and ask Him to forgive you of your sin,
make sure to give thanks to Jesus, His Son,
a relationship we can have today, just because of Him!

May this be the year
that you understand as I do,
it is not about what happens today,
but that God was there to get you through.

May this be the year
that He will touch your heart
in such a way it can change your life,
so that with Christ you never be apart.

May this be the year,
as you see just what a blessing is,
to think of all the other people
that really don't even know Him.

May this be the year
that you can tell some one today,
"Look what He has done for me,
for He is the truth, the light and the way!"

I Am Someone Special

I am someone special
for all the world to see,
but when you look upon my face,
you are not really seeing me.

The face that you are seeing,
is the person I want to be.
I want to be like Jesus,
for my Lord and Savior is He.

So when you look into my eyes,
may they reflect His love indeed.
May my mouth speak His Words of love,
that have set so many free.

May my ears be always listening
for those worse off than me.
May my hands reach out as Jesus would,
to help all those in need.

May each person that I meet
as I travel on my way,
tell someone in their lives,
“I think I just saw Jesus today!”

It Is All About Love

It is all about love,
no matter what you do.
It is love that starts your day
and is love that gets you through.

Love was at the very beginning,
when God spoke, “Let there be light.”
Yes love was there each time we failed,
but we remained so precious in His sight.

Even as the worldly sin increased,
His love would not let go.
Each time His flesh was cut so deep,
He said, ”Father forgive them”, because He loved us so.

And His love was left within us,
on that day from this world He did depart.
The same love that was in the beginning,
remains embedded so deep inside our hearts.

satan Came To Church Today

satan came to church today
and was sitting in one of the pews.
As the Pastor was speaking, satan asked me,
“Are the Bills going to win or lose?”

The Pastor spoke of Fellowship
and then Son-shine breaking through.
Then Satan whispered in my ear again,
“Are the Sabre’s playing today too?”

As the sermon was continuing
and the Pastor spoke of hate,
satan said “Is that your stomach growling,
it must have been a while since you ate?”

Then the Pastor finished his sermon
with “the Son-song breaking out.”
Jesus then spoke to me saying,
“listen very carefully so not be in doubt.”

Learn to close your ears,
so not to satan they will hear.
Remember what my Word did say
in Luke 11:5-9 and child of mine, “Hang in There!”

New Through Christ

Ever since the day I was born
my life was not my own.
It had a purpose to fulfill
until He calls me home.

But what is always most troubling
as each day I strive to live,
is understanding it is not about me,
but to all the others that I must give.

It is not about my accomplishments,
but instead what Christ has done for me.
I am no longer of myself,
because Jesus set me free.

He freed me from this worldly sin,
which is upon us day and night.
As His sinless body hung nailed to the Cross,
that made me special in the Father’s sight.

My days are all for Him now,
my burdens are oh so few.
I am this righteous child of God
through Christ, I am brand new.

God’s Gift

Think of all the wonderful gifts
that you have already received.
How can anyone of them compare
to God’s gift, once you first believed?

It will never be out dated,
nor decay as the years pass by.
The gift of salvation is for you and me,
just because of God’s love, we didn’t even have to try.

A gift to last forever,
just because we are His.
A gift that was paid in full,
Oh what a special gift it is!

So remember to say “thank You”,
every morning, noon, and night.
The only person to give a gift like this
is Jesus, because He definitely has the right!

If Only You Will See

If only you will see,
how the Lord cares for you and me.
If you can take the time to understand
the workings of His mighty hands.

If only you will see,
from this world you can be free.
Free from sin, pain, doubt and fear,
free to reach out to someone else this year.

If only you will see
the true life He has for you and me.
A life that He created just because of His love,
a life that was created to bring praise to Him above.

If only you will see,
just what you were really meant to be.
His Word was left for you and me,
if only you will see.

Grab Hold

I started to fall
and didn’t know why.
I needed help
and started to cry.

I looked around
for someone to see.
I started to yell,
please, someone, help me.

I looked to my left
and then to my right,
my worst fear was known,
there was no one in sight.

No one to my back
or to my front,
I couldn’t walk
and I couldn’t run.

I cried out to the Lord,
where are You to behold?
He said, “Lookup, My child,
and just grab hold!”

Modern Day Disciple

I am a modern day disciple,
for Jesus has chosen me.
Ever since my very first breath,
He has been waiting patiently, you see.

Jesus said, “Do you really love Me?
Would you give up everything you love?
Can you leave it all behind because I asked you to?
Giving praise to the Father above!

Can you love your fellow man
more than he does of you?
Are you willing to lose it all,
just because I asked you to?”

I said, “Lord, You know my heart,
with You I long to be.
Thank You for always asking,
“Modern day disciple, Come and follow Me.”

Whispers of Love

God whispered in my ear today,
and the sweetest sound it was.
He said, “I love you, child of Mine”,
as the angels sang above.

Sweet words of love, oh so true,
that just melted in my heart.
He whispered, “I am always here for you,
for you were special from the start.”

Then He whispered, “I have whatever you need,
for with my love you never will lack.
All I ever wanted, My child,
is that you love Me back.”

I felt a warm feeling
as His whispers warmed my soul.
I said, “Lord, You are my life now,
because I love You so!”

Being Humble

I am a humbled person,
when my eyes are on someone, but not me.
I am humbled in the presence
of someone longing to be free.

I am so very humble,
when I see the hurting and the lost.
I am also humble
in the presence of Jesus and the Cross.

See, the reason this makes me humble,
is because God opened my eyes to see.
If not for His love and grace,
there never would be a me.

It is nothing I ever did,
or could ever hope to do.
It is because He looked down from above
and said, “I love you!”

Are You Ready

I heard a knock on my heart,
it was Jesus calling me.
He said, “Child of Mine, are you ready to come home
or do you want Me to let you be?

Do you still want to stay
in this world filled with sin?
Are you ready to come home, My child,
Heaven is ready for you to enter in!”

I said, “Lord, my bags are all packed
and with You I want to be,
but there is still so much to do here,
and so many longing to be free.

I have many friends and family,
that don’t know You like I do.
I want them to be in Heaven with me,
before their life on earth is through.

So whatever time You give me,
it will always be devoted to You.
Sharing Your love with others,
so they can be in Heaven too!”

The Key

As I walked up to the Kingdom gate,
I couldn't enter in,
for it was locked and very secure
and the lock was titled "sin"!

I knew the place I wanted to be
was on the other side,
but my sin was keeping me from getting there
and also my foolish pride.

The Kingdom gate was too high
for me to try and climb.
It's lock was too heavy to break,
no matter how hard I tried.

Then in my heart I heard a voice,
it was very personal to me.
Jesus said, "The only way is to believe,
for I Am the Living Key!"

It was then that I finally understood
the only thing I could do,
is put my life in Jesus hands,
for only He can get me through!

Trials

With each day
that comes a new,
there are some trials
that seem to come too.

Each trial brings
it's pains and cares,
that sometime seem
too much to bear.

My heart cries out,
“Lord what can I do?
I need Your help
to get me through.”

Then as the trial
begins to fade,
I finally realize
why it was made.

For all my trials
that I am going through,
I find myself
the closest to You!

Please Stay

I was hurting and confused,
lost in every way.
A person came near me
and I said, "Please stay!"

This life is sometimes hard
when you are traveling all alone.
I grabbed onto this persons hand,
and said "I really don't have a home."

A home is filled with laughter,
filled with people that really care,
but when you are alone,
it seems so very hard to bear.

A Frenchman entered Heaven today,
Jesus met him at the gate.
He said, “Jean, you’re right on time,
I knew you wouldn’t be late.

Your time on earth was spent very well,
your family loved you so.
I know how hurt they are
to see you finally go.

I know their hurt will subside,
though it will never leave.
Your life on earth is now complete,
now you’re here with Me.

So come on in, Jean Petrement,
your family will be right behind.
Eternity waits for everyone,
it’s only separated by time.”

Fruit From The Cross

Who would of thought
that something so sweet,
could come from a tree
where Jesus died for you and me.

A tree that was used
to bring suffering and shame,
to the Son of Man
and Jesus was His name.

But from that tree
His fruits began to live on.
It took His unwavering love,
before it all began.

So praise to God the Father,
for on that tree His Son paid the cost.
It was the only way that through us,
we can bear fruit from the Cross!

Your Purpose

You have a job to do for God,
something you were designed to do.
So many people go through life
never understanding what theirs is too.

The work that He has for us,
to many may seem simple or small.
But to God, our Father above,
important work for one and all.

See, the more you focus on Jesus,
you'll understand the work He has begun,
for He always said, "Father, not my will,
but let Your will be done!"

Friends, you will never understand your purpose
that God created you to be,
until you can look in the mirror
and say to yourself, "It's not about me!"

Crosses

I had a dream I walked with Jesus,
carrying our crosses, side by side.
Though mine was so much smaller,
I felt Him lift the burden as time went by.

With each step He looked at me,
His eyes were filled with love.
He steadied me when I began to stumble,
giving praise to the Father above.

At first the journey seemed too long,
to carry my cross all that way,
Jesus spoke to me and said,
“It’s not about the burden but what you do through it today.”

So whatever the cross you are carrying,
may it become an aide to you,
to help someone else that is hurting
and show them Jesus is with them too.

He Is Always There

I reached my hand out to Him,
I felt Him grasp my heart,
His love grew even stronger,
than when my walk with Him did start.

I cried out "Thank You Lord Jesus",
for He always hears my call.
He is always there for me,
if I stumble or even when I fall.

He loved me before I knew Him,
He is there day by day.
I can not live without Him,
for there is no other way.

And what is truly amazing
is if I feel like this today,
I can't begin to imagine how it will be,
when Jesus and I will be together some sweet day!

And God created women,
to be a mother and to shop.
A mother for a lifetime,
a shopper till they drop.

He created them to give hugs
and many kisses too.
He created them to spend,
for that’s what women do.

God also gave them a memory,
just incase that men forget.
So if the men think they won’t remember,
well, it hasn’t happened yet!

And the most important quality,
He gave them was to endure.
For He knew living with men,
was no easy task for sure.

each one special in their own way,
for He knew without them in the world,
how would men make it through the day?

The Christian Hurts

The Christian hurts like everyone else,
we feel the suffering and the pain.
But what separates us from all the rest
is the power of Jesus name.

When storm clouds come
and the sun disappears,
we can stand firm,
for with Jesus we have no fear.

Though the pain is real
and the suffering is there,
our Lord and Savior gives us
no more than we can bear.

So stay firm on His Word,
and to His name always be true.
For because of His love,
He is always there for you!

The Robe

John received a robe from Heaven,
no card or label was attached.
God smiled as John tried it on,
for He knew this one would surely last.

No other could keep John as warm
and keep all the sickness out.
It was important that John get better
and being healthy is what it is all about.

So God has done His part,
now John, the rest is up to you.
Remember when you remove your robe at night,
to thank God before you are through.

Though there has been some pain and suffering
along the way as you begin to mend,
your robe is a blessing from above,
sent from your Heavenly friend.

The Lonely Road

I am traveling a lonely road
where others have also been.
But every time I travel this road,
it's filled with sadness and despair again.

How can I change direction?
Which way is actually right?
I am so tired of being in darkness.
Can someone show me where is the light?

I hear a voice in the distance
Saying, “Come to Me, even though you can not see.
I am your Lord God,
come to Me and really be free.

Whatever obstacle you encounter,
I have conquered before you.
Keep walking toward the light,
for you will find Me there, too!”

And said, “I think I’ll stay a while.
One of the many tasks I’ll do
is take away all the smiles.

I will rob them of their happiness
and take away all their joy.
It will not matter who it is

the harder it will be for me to leave.
I will take away all their pride
and in failure they will believe.”

But I said, “Not so fast there little “d”,
with me you will not tame,
and for all others in this house
I claim them in Jesus name.

Right now you may think your winning,
but soon I know you will lose.
The victory is in Jesus Christ,
once all the others decide to choose.

God gave her loving hands,
to grab and hold us tight.
God gave her a gentle heart,

God gave her endurance and patience,

God gave her many answers,

He Is the One

Jesus is the One,
that my life is all about.
With Him in my life,
it’s free from uncertainty and doubt.

I listen to Him speak,
from His Spirit in my heart.
He is the One who cared for me,
right from the very start.

He is the One,
that brightens up my day.
He grabs hold and steadies me,
as I travel along life’s way.

Yes, He is the One,
no other can compare.
It is no wonder why,
with others I want Him to share.

My life is now His,
justified through the Father’s Son.
No longer separated because of sin,
but now joined together as One!

The Task

God spoke to my heart and said,
“I have a task for you,
I want you to share My love

I woke up this morning
happy as can be,

I opened my mouth to speak,
but it was not me.
I looked out of these worldly eyes,
but I really could not see.

I reached out with sinful hands
to grab from all I could.
With my ears I listened to satan’s lies,

and said, “Jesus, what can I do?”
Jesus spoke to my heart and said,
“Let me be all of you!”

So now Christ and I are one
and I finally understand,
ever since God said, “Let there be light”,
I was always in His plan!

on Twitter I’m following just a few.
But what I know is most important,
following Jesus is what I want to do.

that may try to empress you and me,
but just knowing in my heart

what you are really seeing
is Jesus Christ, coming through me.

When Life Keeps Giving You Lemons

When life keeps giving you lemons,
there is one thing you must do,
find a sweet friend that will
bring some sugar to you.

Squeeze all the lemons,
then do the same to your friend.
Take the sugar you are given,
and let the process begin.

does not mean all is lost.
God is probably just giving you
another one of life’s bridges to cross.

When I realized I was broken,
I made my greatest gain.
The victory didn’t come in triumph,
but rather through my pain.

How can that be, you might ask,
to win when you have lost?
Oh my beloved and precious one,
Jesus taught me that through the cross.

Each one of us must learn to be humble,
to understand we can’t do it on our own.
Cry out to our Creator, “Help me!”,
as He sits upon His Throne.

The Father’s eyes are upon us,
His ears are listening for our pleas.
Just as He heard His Son cry out from the cross,

This life is always changing,
each day brings something new.
What once was bright and shining,

I Took It All For Granted

When I awoke this morning,
from my eyes I could not see.
The light that once shown from the window,
it’s now all darkness to me.

I tried to call out for help,
but my words they would not flow.
The blessings I took for granted yesterday,
are no longer with me now.

My limbs that once were active,
now hang limp at my side.
My feet that once carried me to places,
are not responsive, even when I try.

The moral of this poem is,
“Do not take for granted what you have today,
use what the good Lord has blessed you with,
for His purpose, before it goes away.”

Life’s Rivers

I came to one of life’s rivers,
looking for a place to cross.
I had to get to the other side
for I felt where I was, all was lost.

I looked over to the other side
and saw Jesus waving to me.
I cried out, “Here I am Lord,
please come and help me!”

I heard Him speak in a very loud voice,
“Do not be afraid and don’t lose heart.
There is a time and place for you to cross,
and we will never be apart.

Life’s rivers are many,
trials that will come your way.
Just have faith and trust in Me,
and we will cross them together each day!”

A Dad Entered Heaven

A Dad entered Heaven,
Jesus met him at the gate.
Like all other Dad’s, he was right on time,
for no one enters Heaven late.

Jesus said, “Dad, what is it that you did
on earth with your time?”
The Dad looked up at Jesus and said,
“The best I could of what was mine.

I tried to love my wife,
with all the love I had.
I did the best for my kids,
though sometimes they made me mad.

I worked hard every day,
sometimes longer than I should.
I wanted to provide for my family,
the very best way that I could.

But now what I understand,
what was most important to me,
is that they love You like I do,
so together, we once again can be.”

The burdens of life are many,
trouble and heartache has come our way.
I raised my eyes above and said,
“Lord give us wings to fly away!

Please let my wings take me
to a place that’s safe and free,
Free from life’s constant battles
that are always all around me.”

I felt God’s presence, oh so near.
Jesus spoke to my heart and said,
“Why is it that you fear?

If I give you wings they will lift you up,
but in this world troubles will always be.
It is not the wings that will free you from them,
but the faith that you have in Me!”

Jesus Is The Way

Jesus looked down from the Cross
and saw the world
as we made it to be,
with the blood flowing
from the crown of thorns.
He saw all the world wars,
Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

As the soldiers spear pierced His side,
He heard the cries
from so many still to come.
From the Jewish people
in the concentration camps,
to the many people around the world
being killed, one by one.

As the breath was leaving His body,
He saw that 9/11
was on its way.
He raised His eyes
and looked above and said,
“Father please
forgive them all today!”

See, Jesus knew
what was going to happen,
and the Father believed
and loves His Son.
His Spirit was sent here to teach us,
the victory is not of this world,
but in Heaven that it is won!

So wars will come
and wars will go
and for many, they will pay the price.
But what is most important
is God’s love,
that was proved
through His sacrifice!

So if you truly believe that,
then the gospel message
will truly set you free,
tell someone about John 14:6 in the Bible
where Jesus said,
“I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life;
no one comes to the Father but by Me.”

It ‘s up to you what you do,
the choice is totally yours.
You decide each step you take
as you walk throughout your years.

Right or wrong, good or bad,
you decide what to do,
but as you decide always remember,
God is watching you.

You can make someone happy
or take away their smile.
The words that you choose to speak
can make or break them for a long while.

You can decide to forgive
the wrong someone has done,
or you can harbor resentment,
right from the beginning of day one.

The choice is yours, given by God,
for that’s the way He wanted it to be.

“You can choose a sinful life or you can choose Me!”

God Is Waiting For You To Choose

Do not think that God is waiting
to see what you are going to do.
He already knows your heart
and everything there is about you.

He is not waiting for you
to do some kindly deed,
for He knows what is in your heart,
and exactly what you want to do indeed.

God is not waiting on you,
to once in a while sing His praise,
for God already has all the answers,
as we live throughout our days.

What God is waiting for
is for you to make that choice,
to surrender your life totally to Him
and you listen carefully to His Spirit’s voice.

So as each day quickly goes by,
you may have lost another time

to choose to start a new life in Christ,
for I chose, and He is the best friend of mine!

The Test

My heart is at unrest,
day after day,
as I go through this life,
trying to find a better way.

What can be found,
to give me the peace,
to satisfy my heart,

Each day is a struggle,
as we travel life’s way.
Just another daily test,
then from His Word, I read today,

In Luke chapter 1, verse 79, to give light to those
who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death,
to guide our feet into the way of peace.
Jesus gave me the answer to life’s test.

An Abundant life for us You give,
with all the Beauty that there is.

The Rivers Of Grief

The rivers of grief can run so deep,
it’s waters are so icy cold.
We wait and wait for relief,
and for some comfort to behold.

Hour by hour, day by day,
when will our sorrows end?
Grief’s currents are so very strong,
not giving way for family or friends.

Then within all my struggles,
God’s voice became so crystal clear.
He said, “Do not be discouraged child of Mine,
but look for a lesson to be learned here.

See grief will come and grief will go,
it’s all just a matter of time.
Look for the wisdom that lies within,
remember it’s not in your time, but Mine.”

The Bridge

I came upon a bridge today,
that separated someone from me.
Neither one wanted to cross,
so together we could be.

The bridge seemed so very long,
we were both unsure what we’d find.
On either side would there be, friend or foe?
Would their hearts be cruel or kind?

At first we both were hesitant,
leery to take the first step.
Then Jesus said, “Remember my commandments,
the ones you both said you kept?”

Love your neighbor as yourself
is important as can be.
Love is the bridge that connects each heart,
and it began at Calvary.

filled with jealously, anger and hate.

Grab onto the tools from the Spirit,

I Can’t Do It For You

To all my friends and family
and those through my life I will meet,
I can’t do it for you,
all I can do is show you what Christ did for me.

I can’t ask Jesus to love you,
for I know He already does.
I can’t guarantee that you’ll be in Heaven,
giving praise with me, to our Father God above.

Each one of us must make that decision,
if you haven’t already, I pray you do someday.
For even as Jesus disciple Thomas asked Him,
“Lord, how can we know the way?"

Jesus gave Thomas and us the answer,
and in the book of John, Chapter 14 verse 6 you will see,
Jesus said to him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life;
no one comes to the Father but by Me.

The Ashes of Life

God reached into my ashes
and grabbed onto what was there.
It contained many of my hopes and dreams,
the remains from my anger and despair.

He held them gently in His hands
and caressed them with His tears.
He said in a loving, tender voice,
“These ashes are Mine, along with all your fears.”

Then God whispered to my heart,
“Listen to my Spirit and from My Word take heed.
I have everything you will ever want,
I am all you will ever need!”

I lifted my eyes to Heaven,
and thanked the Father above,

Here I Am Again Lord

Here I am again Lord,
praying on bended knee.
So many issues in my life
that are really bothering me.

I want to be healthier,
though I don’t eat like I should.
I want to have more money,
but wouldn’t work for it if I could.

I want to have more friends,
though I don’t talk to the ones I have.
I want my family to love me more,
but when I’m with them they make me mad.

So God I am still waiting,
for You to answer my prayer,
and if You decide not to,
well, I think it’s not very fair.

Now the moral of this poem is
Unanswered prayer, we’re always asking why?
See, God is waiting to bless us,
once the focus is off the “I”!
