My Book Of Life
As I came to the gates of Heaven,
St. Peter said,
“You have to answer a question
before I let you in!”
I wondered of all the questions
He would ask,
what would it be,
before my life there would begin?
Then St. Peter opened a large book,
on each page was what I did
on earth with pictures to see.
Then He asked me this question,
“If you had to do it all over,
what would it be?”
As I looked at all the pictures
that represented my earthly life,
I saw my childhood, my mom and dad
and my brothers, I saw my kids,
my grandkid's and my wife.
I saw all the smiles,
all the laughter, and the fun,
but I also saw all the heartache,
all the crying, and the tears.
I saw all the hurting either I did,
or someone did to me,
year after year after year.
I saw myself being very busy,
trying to create a very good life.
But then I also saw
all the times I was away,
that I didn’t spend
with my kids and my wife.
Then I saw all the friends
I have known,
that through the years
I did lose touch.
Though I didn’t have many friends
as some might,
the ones I had, I cared for very much.
But then my eyes got brighter,
what I saw was my walk with God.
I knew at that very moment
the answer to the question,
I wouldn’t change anything,
for I might lose that, if I had.
See, this life is about learning
and as we do, the choices that we make,
but the most important is choosing Him,
for it is a life with Him in Heaven,
that is at stake.
So if this poem does nothing else,
than to make you stop and take a look,
I pray in the pictures of your life
you see God,
just like I saw in my book!

A God’s Day Is Upon Us
A God’s day is upon us
to do His work for Him.
We can accomplish nothing for Him,
if by ourselves we let the day begin.
There is so much to do,
so many people that we must see.
So many hearts still in bondage,
that God wants to be free.
But we cannot do this
by our own power and ways.
We need to rest in the Lord
and listen to what He says.
His Word is our daily guide,
that through it, we will not fail.
It contains His Gospel message of love,
that as Children of His we must go and tell.
So don’t let this day slip by,
for there is so much we must do.
Look out to help others, not yourself,
for God will take care of you!

I Came Upon
I came upon a hungry man,
looking for something to eat.
He said, “I don’t have anything,
I am hungry as can be!”
Jesus said, “Do you see him?”
I said, “Yes, Lord, I do see!”
Jesus said, When you look upon him
you are really seeing Me!”
I came upon an addict,
drugs consuming his every move.
He said, “This is all I have now,
what can I do?”
Jesus said, “Do you see him?”
I said, “Yes, Lord, I do see!”
Jesus said, “When you look upon him
you are really seeing Me!”
I came upon a homeless man,
his home was now the street.
He said, “Everything I once had,
I’ve lost, woe is me!”
Jesus said, “Do you see him?”
I said, “Yes, Lord, I do see!”
Jesus said, When you look upon him,
you are really seeing Me!”
I came upon a mirror,
then in the reflection I did see,
a hungry, homeless, addicted, person,
what I saw in the mirror was me.
So the moral of this poem,
is that we are each one in the same.
We are all created in God’s image
and Jesus is our name.
This sinful world is our exterior,
what we let it do to us we will be.
But Jesus can change all that,
if you will only just believe, He did for me!

Get Up And Rest
“Get up and rest,”
is what God says,
“get up and wait on Me.
Be prepared
for the work ahead
with rested eyes you may see.
Get up and rest,
do not start out
a journey on your own.
Be quiet and still,
waiting till you hear
directions from My Throne.
Get up and rest,
for strength you’ll need
to fight what comes your way.
The enemy is strong,
the battle is long
and is for sure to come today.
Get up and rest
and be assured,
in Me a victor you will be.”
Wait on Me,
oh child of Mine,
get up, rest and see.

The Wish
I opened up an email today,
it said to make a wish.
Then it said it would come true,
if I sent it on to all on my list.
Then within the moment,
God said, “What would be even more smart,
for it is not about how many or who you send to,
but what you ask in prayer, from your heart.
Also what is most important
for your wish to come true,
is to ask in My Son’s name,
then what you ask for, will be given to you.”
Now here I believe is the catch
that many a person will miss.
If it’s not to bring glory to God,
why even make a wish?

Is Just A Mere Bag Of Shells
This life isn’t about money,
or what you have in the end.
It’s about being honest with yourself
and being able to call someone a friend.
This life isn’t about status,
or who you may crush on the way up.
It’s about thinking and giving to others,
instead of grabbing everything for yourself.
This life isn’t about envy,
or wishing what someone has, you had.
It’s about being thankful to God above,
for what He gave you, and then being glad.
Nope, this life is not about money, envy, or status,
it’s about love and in your heart what it tells.
See, everything else when it comes down to it
is just a mere bag of shells!

Lost Angels
This is a poem for all the Lost Angels,
created by God above.
So many had to leave so soon,
but left such an imprint of love.
Why their stay was so short,
or why we had to suffer such pain,
thank You Heavenly Father,
just that the Lost Angels came.
Just to have a life touched
by Your love from above,
if just for a minute or a lifetime,
a love is always a love.
So one day Lost Angels,
I am not sure when that will be,
we will all be together again,
this time for all of eternity!

In The Blink Of An Eye
In the blink of an eye,
death passed by,
with my new eyes I began to see.
My old life was gone,
now with Jesus I belong,
living together in all eternity.
now with Jesus I belong,
living together in all eternity.
In the blink of an eye,
every year passed by,
no more living with worry and sin.
Just as in the Bible it said,
don’t worry what lies ahead,
just have faith in Him.
don’t worry what lies ahead,
just have faith in Him.
In the blink of an eye,
all was changed,
no more tears or hurting there would be.
What most think is the end
is just the start, my friend,
if in Jesus you do believe.
is just the start, my friend,
if in Jesus you do believe.

The Robe Of Righteousness
I was called to the throne room,
where God wanted to give something to me,
it was the robe of righteousness,
white as white can be.
I said, “Father how can that be mine,
for all the sins in the past?’
The Father of Creation smiled and said,
“They are forgiven, which means they can not last!”
Then in the room came Jesus,
He took His robe and gave it to me.
He smiled and said, “This is yours now,
I was saving it for you until that day you would believe!
See, the black marks of sin are gone,
only the purity of white remains.
You can wear the robe of righteous now,
all because you truly believe in my name.
Your sins are no longer part of you,
for you are now totally free.
Your sins were left on the cross,
covered by My blood at Calvary!”

One Day Soon
One day soon, all the non-believers
will find out it was true.
One day soon, sweet Jesus,
they will all agree, it is about You!
One day soon, my precious Savior,
what was written in Your Word,
one day soon it will be
the sweetest sounds to be heard.
One day soon, my God of Creation,
all will understand just what it cost.
One day soon, precious Lamb of Calvary,
we will all embrace Your wondrous cross.
One day, yes, one day soon,
though we do not know when,
we will understand how you truly do love us,
ever since our lives began!

As I Look At The Cross
As I look at the cross.
I thought what would I have done?
Would I be yelling “Crucify Him?”
Would I be just like everyone?
Would I be laughing and smiling,
as they put the crown of thorns on His head?
Would I be just like all the others,
or would I stand there grieving instead?
As I look at the cross
and watched His life drain out,
would I understand why He chose to do it,
would I comprehend what it was all about?
Well, the choice is all mine,
just like it is for you, too.
Tell me, my friends as you look at the cross,
do you know what you would do?

If You See Me
If you see me on Facebook,
or if you are reading one of His poems,
what you are seeing is actually Him,
not me, but Him alone.
If you see me doing a God’s Love Program,
singing to His wounded in a home,
what you are seeing is actually Him,
yes, Him alone.
See, I am just being obedient,
as I reach out to others on Facebook.
I am just the one, who writes down His poems
and then puts them in a book.
I am just sharing His love
to all the shut-ins that I meet,
so you are actually seeing Him,
when you think you are seeing me.
So who is it that someone sees,
when they are looking at you?
Is it someone just being themselves,
or is Christ shining through?

When Tears Flowed From the Cross
Good Friday was the day,
so many years ago.
When tears flowed from the cross,
because He loved us so.
It was the Son of God,
that was hanging from that tree.
What hurt Him the most was when He asked,
“My Father, why hast Thou forsaken Me?”
See, He could take all the beatings
and He could bear all the shame.
But what hurt Him the most was being separated
from the Father He loved, as He called out His name.
In this life there will be beatings.
Because of our sins there will be shame.
And we will definitely be separated from God,
unless we call out in Jesus name!
So on this Good Friday,
as we reflect on earth’s greatest loss,
remember Sunday and victory is coming,
when tears flowed from the cross.

Why Is It
Why is it
that it takes till the end
to we find what we lost
and then want it again?
Why is it
that good words that could be said,
all come to mind
when we are at the end?
Why is it
that we just don’t see
the importance of love
and what it means to you and me?
Why is it,
what can it be?
Why are so many lives wasted,
because we just never see?
Then within the moment
the answer I did receive.
It is what each one chooses
to live and believe.
We choose each day
just what we do,
how can we ask why
it was up to choose!

My New Life Begins Today
My new life begins today,
because of what happened so many miles away.
When loved ones whose hearts were filled with gloom,
went and did not find Him in the tomb.
For it had happened as His Word did say,
on this that we call Easter Sunday.
Jesus’ work had been fulfilled,
yes, He had done His Fathers will.
For ever since the fall of man,
our heavenly Father had a special plan.
For there could be no other way,
that’s why I say, my new life begins today!
So on this Easter Sunday, if you truly do believe,
praise the name of Jesus, for a new life you will also receive!

Do Not Be Distracted
Do not be distracted
as you go about your day.
Stay true to what God has for you,
regardless of what people say.
Keep your focus on Him,
for His purpose for you is right.
Do not be distracted
by this world that’s filled with strife.
Wait for His awesome leading,
for He will never lead you wrong.
Read from His Holy Word
and the time won’t seem so long.
Do not be distracted,
for many distractions there will surely be.
Pray through the Spirit,
that with open eyes you will always see.
The moral of this poem is
not be distracted as you go along your way.
Just pray, read the Bible and stay focused,
as you wait on Jesus today.

Where Is God?
Where is God? People ask,
when they are hurting and confused.
Where is God? He is right there
inside of me and you.
Where is God to answer questions
when this life is so very tough.
Where is God? Where He has always been,
in us, if life is easy or rough.
Where is God? I need Him today
is a cry from so many in pain.
Where is God? He is waiting on us,
to just call out His Holy Name.
See, He wants us all the time,
not for just a day, a month or a year.
He wants your life completely,
so you will know He is always there.
It is not about our hurting,
or the problems we go through.
It is about His love for us
and He wants that also from me and you!

The Fighter
There was a young man, who was fighting a fight,
with cancer, that was consuming him.
Many a prayer went up to heaven above,
saying, “Father, please, let him this battle win!”
A strong healthy man started the fight,
but the battle was taking it’s toll.
But each day as the battle raged on,
the young man refused to let go.
So as it appeared the enemy was winning,
many thought, “This battle he will not win.”
This young man stood strong and kept fighting on,
though his body was getting very thin.
So I got on my knees and started to pray
and said to our Father above,
“How much more must this young man endure?
I know it is not a question of Your love!”
Then the Father spoke to my burdened heart
and said, “It is not about what each one can endure.
It is about how you fight each enemy in sight,
and through Faith each one wins for sure!
So the moral of this poem, please understand,
in this life plenty of battles there will be.
They are won by faith, not by sight,
you are a winner if truly you do believe!

The Loss Of A Loved One
The loss of a loved one
seems more than we can bear,
then Jesus speaks to our hearts and says,
“Don’t worry they are here!”
Our hearts ache and hurt
because they are really gone,
then Jesus speaks to our hearts and says,
“They are with Me where they truly belong!”
Our days seem emptier
as we learn to live with our loss,
then Jesus speaks to our hearts and says,
“Life is not over, look to the cross!”
Praise God for our loved ones earthly lives
and the time on earth with us He did give.
Remember it is not about this short earthly life,
but the next, for eternity is where we are meant to live!

Mom’s
Moms are Moms
through and through.
They were chosen Moms
for what they do.
They put their children
before themselves,
they perform their duties
better than anyone else.
They nurture, they love,
they teach, they care.
They are Moms forever
that’s why God put them here.
And when each day
on this earth is done,
they give praise to Father above,
because He made them a Mom!

You Decide
I have a wonder son and daughter
that are loves of my life.
I wouldn’t have them also,
if not for the love for my wife.
God made each one special
and for each man and woman that is true.
How we choose to live together
is up to me and you.
Sometimes we fail to see
the beauty that God brings our way.
We let relationships fall apart
because of choices we make each day.
See, don’t blame God for what you lose
and praise Him for what you still have.
Everything comes from Him,
you decide, will you make it good or bad.

Fight On!
Our daily battles are many,
the enemy, at times, seems too great.
Then God shouts down from heaven,
“Fight on, for it is never too late.”
Whatever the battle you are fighting
and in this life many there will be,
Fight on Christian Soldiers,
for the victory in Jesus you will see.
Don’t listen to the enemy
tell you that you cannot win,
pick up your Bible and read,
for in Revelation, it states we win!
God’s Word will not change,
so that means it is up to us,
Fight on, fight on, Children of God,
for the victory is in the Cross!!!

Accomplishments
An accomplishment is something
that takes a lot of work.
It starts with a dream,
then a lot of dedication for sure.
It also takes a lot of sacrifices,
for you must give before you can get.
Also it seems a constant uphill battle
that sometimes you would rather forget.
But nothing comes easy
and the achievement is worth the price.
What happens from start to finish
is what is known as life.
So congratulations, Lisa, on your accomplishment
and always remember we are proud of you.
We know there will be a lot more,
as through this life you go through!
All our love,

Do You Love Me
Do You Love Me
“Do you love me?” Jesus asked,
when I first awoke from sleep?
“Do you love me more than these,
please, then if you do, Feed My sheep!”
Many, many years ago,
Jesus asked Simon Peter this same question too!
If Jesus asked you today, my friends,
what would you say and do?
Simon Peter replied, in John chapter 21, verse 17,
“Lord, You know all things, You know that I love You!”
My friends, today how are you going to reply to Jesus,
what are the words that will come from you?
For me the answer is always the same
and I pray it will always be,
“Good morning Lord, I love You,
may Your sheep I always be eager to feed!”

Jesus, Jesus, Precious Jesus
Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus,
please be with me today.
Though I do not deserve Your love,
it is mine through grace to claim.
Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus,
may my heart to You be pure.
It is a choice that I must make,
so that in this life You will insure.
Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus,
please use me to do Thy will.
My life has no meaning, it is true,
except with You until.
Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus,
without You what would I do?
Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus,
my Lord and Savior, I love You!

Just Let Go
So many Christians today,
still go through the movements for show.
But what they fail to realize is,
they must just let go.
You can not walk the fence,
with God that can not be done.
Either you give up your life to Him,
or forever be seeking the Son.
This world has nothing to offer,
that even comes close to Him.
We are here to learn about Him,
then choose for Him to enter in.
So the choice is up to each of us,
in His Word it tells us so.
To have a life in Him,
you must first, “Just let Go!”

Not A Day Worth Living
Pastor’s preaching, teachers teaching,
many singing songs to God above.
But what is missing is the commitment
and the surrender of self to His love.
Many a Sunday we go to church
to pray and be free from sin.
But then come the next six days,
for many, it’s a life without Him.
Many say they are Christians,
but in truth they do not live.
Their hearts are tied to this earthly world,
their eyes still looking for sin.
My prayer is that one-day they might
understand from His Word what is written.
See, to live a day without Christ, my friends,
is really not a day worth living!

The Day Of Reckoning
when we will be judged for what we have done.
Every word spoken, every action taken,
to be reviewed before our God.
It will be too late to ask for forgiveness,
for that time will now have passed.
It will be judgment day for His people,
yes, the day of reckoning at last.
But no one knows when that day will be,
for the Father didn’t even tell His beloved Son.
Because of this there still is time,
for there is forgiveness for each and everyone.
Oh, we will be judged for that is true,
but all our wrongs will have been erased.
See, Jesus took the judgment for us,
yes, on Calvary He took our place.
But it is not complete until we ask
and to Him for our sins we do repent.
Then when the day of reckoning comes,
our earthly lives will be viewed as time well spent!

Life Is A Choice
I woke up this morning,
not knowing what to do.
My friends, life is a choice,
it is all up to you.
You can walk in the Son-light,
or be lost in the dark.
My friends, life is a choice,
it is a matter of the heart.
Each day can be a struggle,
or you can be a blessing indeed.
My friends, life is a choice,
it is what you choose to believe.
Oh there will be troubles,
but remember all is not lost.
My friends, life is a choice,
for me I chose Jesus and His Cross!

Woe Is Me
I woke up this morning and said,
“Woe is me!”
I have a pain in my hand
and one in my knee.
The coffee is taking longer
than I would like.
I bit my tongue,
when from my bagel I did bite.
There is nothing on the TV
for me to see.
It is raining outside,
“Woe is me!”
and then said, “God please tell me why!
How can all this be happening to me,
I am really a nice guy!”
Then I opened an email
from my brother whom I love
and what I got was,
God’s answer from above.
There it was,
on my computer monitor to see,
“Deadly storms struck again”,
How dare I say,
“Woe is me!”

Why Did They Do It?
Why did they do it?
Why did they die for me?
Why did they give up their precious life
just so I could be free?
Why did they do it?
The ultimate sacrifice that was made.
They didn’t even know me,
yet all they had they gave!
Why did they do it?
Because others did it for them.
It is called “giving”,
no matter what be the outcome or the end.
Sacrifice is a gift,
no matter what the cost.
To fully understand it’s meaning,
we must just look to the Cross!

Cries From Within
Many, many people
living in this world of sin,
looking up to the heavens with
cries from within.
Their hearts are uneasy,
unhappy where they’ve been,
looking up to the heavens with
cries from within.
They are looking for the Answer
for in this life they want to win,
looking up to the heavens with
cries from within.
Their hearts cry out for God’s love,
they need the Spirit to enter in.
Oh why doesn’t God hear these
cries from within?
Well, I believe God hears all cries,
but we must first surrender all to Him.
See, once I laid all at His feet, He answered my
cries from within!

On This Day
(5/30/1991)
On this day many years ago,
a new heartache for me began.
I lost an important part of my life,
she was my mother, my best friend.
She taught me what it meant to give,
she taught the true meaning of love.
She showed me how to live humbly,
as she prayed to God above.
She taught me the word “sacrifice”,
for everything for her family she did give.
She taught me the importance of being thankful,
each day on this earth that we do live.
I now understand the word “precious”,
for that was truly what she was to me.
I also understand the importance of Salvation,
for through it one day together we will again be!

I Was There
I was there
as the bullets flew by.
I was there
as so many in pain cried.
I was there
as bodies fell to the earth.
I was there
fighting for all I was worth.
I was there
for it had to be done,
freedom is not free,
it is fought for and won.
I was there,
I sacrificed so all would be free.
All I ask is,
please remember me.
See, freedom should not be taken for granted,
for many in this world it is very rare.
So when you go to sleep tonight be grateful,
for I am the American Soldier, I was there!

Life’s Meaning
Life is full of twists and turns,
sometimes its walls come crashing down.
But if you grab onto Jesus my friends,
life’s meaning can truly be found.
Family, friends and life itself,
sometimes overwhelming can surely be.
But once you give your all to Him,
then the Father’s Will you will be able to see.
Each life has a purpose,
the reason that only He knows.
But it was created for Him, not us,
Yes, for Him and Him alone.
See, what God created in the beginning
will be there forever without end.
He made His choice in the beginning,
now it’s up to us, my friends!

How Can I Go Wrong
Another day has come upon us,
we choose what it will be.
Though troubles will be within it,
the outcome is really up to me.
I must choose to be happy,
though from pain my body is not free,
for what is more important than the pain
is knowing that Jesus is living in me.
I must choose to be happy,
though there is sin all around.
My focus must stay on Jesus,
for in Him each day’s victory can be found.
So, whatever comes my way today,
because of Jesus I will remain strong,
for in Him I claim each day’s happiness,
see, how can I go wrong?

A Miracle
A man of God lay suffering,
expecting a miracle today.
For all through his life before,
he spoke of what The Word did say.
He is also a wonderful prayer warrior,
many, many prayers for others He did say.
But this time He needs our prayers,
as he tries to make it through the day.
He is a man of God,
and he lives a Godly life.
But this time he’s waiting for a miracle,
to remove all his pain and strife.
So Heavenly Father, I know You are listening,
as the Spirit groans to You through our love.
Please grant this child of Yours his miracle,
as we give praise and glory to You above!

Try Again
A new day is upon you,
and your pain is as strong as before.
You wonder how will I get through?
then, “Try again” is what you hear from the Lord.
You have very little income,
no job seems to be in sight.
Then you hear the Lord say, “Try again”,
do not give up for He knows what’s right.
Your relationship has failed,
after years of trying to make it work.
“Try Again” the Lord speaks to you,
do not give up, try again with all your worth!
See what is very important,
is to rely just solely on Him.
Do not give up no matter what the trial,
heed His words, “Try again!”

Share
If He has given you a smile to wear,
then it was given to you to share.
If He has blessed you today in some way,
it is because through Jesus, the blessing was paid.
it is because through Jesus, the blessing was paid.
If He has lessened your burden to be,
it is because to help others, who need to be free.
If He has filled your heart with love,
it is to share with others, His love from above.
it is to share with others, His love from above.
If He has given you strength to complete each task,
it is so you may share your strength, when others do ask.
See, whatever He gives you, because He loves you and cares,
it was given to you, so with others you will gladly share.
it was given to you, so with others you will gladly share.
It was not given to you for you alone to keep,
it was given to share, then His blessings you will reap!

Time For A Tear
Time for a tear,
time for a sigh,
it always will be,
for I can’t say goodbye.
Time to think back again,
of what you tried to do.
Raising a family and giving your all,
doing the best you could, too.
Your special looks,
your guiding hands,
your giving heart,
being just a man.
One day we will be together again,
for I believe this is true,
because I read in Mom’s Bible where she wrote,
“Steve gave his heart to the Lord today.”
Hey Dad, “I did too”!!!!

Wonderful Place (Bob’s Song)
This is to let you to know
I made it through,
Jesus was at the gate
to welcome me, too,
and I want you to know
this is a wonderful place.
I saw Bill and Mary Plarr,
Bill Young senior too,
they all said to say a special hi to you
and they also want you to know
this is a wonderful place.
No more sickness or sadness
or reasons to cry
no more aging bodies in pain, asking why?
Just all God’s children that made it through
with new bodies saying to Jesus, ”We love You!”
So keep reading your Bibles
and keep praying too,
as it says in His Word
He’s coming and that’s true.
See it’s all about Jesus,
and this wonderful place.
Yes, it’s all about Jesus
and this wonderful place, Oh yeah!
and this wonderful place, Oh yeah!

Heading Home
I started heading home today
and paused to look around.
I looked back at some of the memories
that through life’s journey
that I have found.
A life full of loving memories
of my wife, family and friends.
A life full of witnessing for Christ,
that made my time
here on earth well spent.
Never compromising the Gospel message
and the truth spoken from His Word.
Never passing an opportunity to pray for others,
for their concerns and needs
are so important to be heard.
So as I kept on heading home
to where with Jesus I knew I had to be.
I thanked the Father above for the time here,
to tell so many of the love
that He has for them and me.
Now it is time for all my Christian brothers and sisters
to be bold and “step up to the plate”.
Keep walking closely with the Lord
and tell others of Him,
please, before it is too late!

Love Flows
Love flows from a heart
where it resides within.
It reaches out in Jesus name
and changes all because of Him.
Love flows constantly
and asks nothing in return.
It is because of “choices” we make
and from His Word what we have learned.
Love flows because of Grace,
as a gift that was first given to you.
Once you accept His gift of love,
let it flow to others in all you do.
Love is Jesus, my friends,
either you have Him or you don’t.
I pray you choose to love Him today,
for His love will guide you home!

Time Is Short
Time is short,
opportunities are passing by,
so many still must understand,
each must choose to receive life’s wonderful prize.
A gift that is given
must be first received.
It must first be accepted
and then through love, believed!
See, time is short,
for so many that still don’t know,
it’s not about this life,
but Jesus, who loves us so!
So whatever time is left,
and only the Father knows that day,
if you believe as it is written,
spread the gospel message and don’t forget to pray!

A Fine Line
There is a fine line
between faith and unbelief.
One will bring you courage and hope,
and one will bring you grief.
There is a fine line
between love and also hate.
One will always bring you down,
the other will make you feel great.
There is a fine line
between being empty and being full.
One will always make you feel bad,
the other you will always feel good.
There is a fine line,
it’s name is called “choice”.
It comes from within the heart
and the Spirit is it’s voice.
So “choose” wisely my friends,
whichever it may be,
no eye has seen or ear has heard,
what Jesus has waiting for me.

You Can Make A Difference
You can make a difference
even when the enemy tells you “no”.
You can make a difference
because Jesus loves you so!
You can make a difference
yes, with Jesus, you can make things right.
You can make a difference
for you are so precious in His sight.
You can make a difference,
see the choice is up to you.
You can make a difference
in everything that you do .
So decide today, my friends,
surrendering your life to Him is the key.
You can make a difference,
you may be the only Jesus that someone ever sees!

Look Up
I once was hurt,
I had no place to turn.
I had a pain in my heart
that would constantly burn.
I fell to the ground,
I could not get up,
then my gracious Lord and Savior said,
“My Child, please look up!”
See, I was face down,
I had no other place to go.
I was empty and helpless,
I thought I was in this world alone.
So if this ever happens
and you feel this way too,
remember to look up,
for Jesus is waiting for you.

The Powers In You
Please listen, my friends,
before this day is through,
whatever you are up against
the Powers in you.
Once you accept Christ
to come into your heart
and surrender your life to Him,
then His power imparts.
Whatever comes against you,
and in this world plenty there will be,
you have the power to beat it,
the Powers in you, it’s Jesus you see.
So don’t give up hope,
and your victory please claim,
the powers in you,
claim it, in Jesus name!!!

Steps
Each step in life is but a goal,
taking us to where we ought to be.
“We walk by faith and not by sight”
is what God’s Word is saying for all to see.
Put your trust in Him alone
and He will guide your way.
Listen to His Spirit, my friends,
and your steps they will not stray.
Stay in the light of the Son,
as your steps you lay them down.
Keep your focus always on Jesus
though sin is all around.
So as you take another step,
remember this is very true,
your steps will take you somewhere for sure,
where you end up, is up to you!

In Jesus Name
Another day
my eyes opened to see,
there is work to be done
for my Lord through me.
There are people to see
and places to go,
another day
to tell all He loves them so.
Another day
to tell this world,
it is all about Him
as written in His Word.
Yes another day
He has given to me,
to witness for Him
so all can see.
They have nothing to loose
and Heaven to gain.
Praise God, yes, another day,
I claim it, in Jesus name!!!

Trust In Him
The day was dark and dreary,
no sunshine was in sight
I got down on my knees and said,
“God, please make this right!”
I raised my eyes to the Heavens
for just a glimpse I might see,
I needed to feel at that moment
all would be right for me.
Then within the moment,
His Spirit to my heart did speak.
He said, “The answer is in the Word,
there you will find the answers that you seek”.
So I opened up my Bible,
and to Philippians 4:6 I did read,
“Do not be anxious about anything”
is what my eyes did see.
Then I did read further,
“in everything by prayer and supplication” is what it said,
and “with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God”,
see, this is what God was trying to get into my head.
Remember dark days will come,
but Son-light there will always be.
So don’t worry about anything my friends,
trust in Him and His Word, that’s what He was saying to me.

The Empty Swing
As I walked by a playground
I noticed an empty swing.
My mind went back to my childhood
and the happiness the swing did bring.
I remembered just learning how to do it
and when I couldn’t, being pushed from behind.
I remembered soaring up to the Heavens,
yes, the empty swing brought that back to mind.
Then I thought of the swing being empty
and no laughter or singing did I hear.
I thought of a childhood now past,
now living in a world of doubt and fear.
So the next time you pass a playground
and you don’t know what the next minute will bring,
it doesn’t matter how old you are,
just look for the empty swing.
Sit down and forget your problems,
reach out to the Heavens and begin to sing,
laugh and keep on laughing, my friends,
and thank God for the empty swing!

What Are You Waiting For
So many people just like me
are waited for something, what could it be?
The things of this world just couldn’t do
and the One you need is waiting for me and you.
No matter what we have or what we don’t,
it truly doesn’t matter and truly won’t.
See, only Jesus can satisfy the need
and it won’t be satisfied unless you believe.
So each day will come and each day will pass
and the need will be there just like the last.
Some days you may win but most you will lose,
see it all comes down to what you choose.
For me I chose Jesus, He is the Word and my Light,
now living each day makes everything right!
So if you are still searching each day like before,
my question to you is, “What are you waiting for?”

There Will Come A Time
There will come a time,
I know not when,
you will be called to God,
be prepared, my friends.
There will come a time,
I know its true,
for it happened to me
and I know will happen to you.
For He is our Creator,
you can believe this or not.
Yes, Jesus His Son,
did die on the Cross.
He died for a reason
so that no one would lose,
there will come a time my, friends,
you will have to choose.
See, you cannot wait
till the end to make your choice,
it must be made now
and be made with your voice.
Yes, there will come a time,
God is waiting for you.
He already made His choice,
what are you going to choose?

A Year Went By
A year went by
oh so very fast,
with many memories
from the past.
Walks in the sunshine
and some in the rain.
Friends, side by side,
a special bond is what we made.
Life is a collection of memories,
with good times and some bad.
Now as I think back
this is all I have.
But what is important now,
when the memories come to mind,
how awesome it is
that you are part of mine.

You Came To Me
I said to the Lord, “My heart is broken,
the hurt is so strong,
please help me now
for I can’t go on!
Whatever You do,
please do it fast.
Make the hurt stop,
please don’t let it last.”
Then as I was quiet
He said, “Listen to Me.
The last time your heart was broke
didn’t I set you free?
See pains will come,
heartbreaks there will be.
What is most important is,
you came to Me!”

Sooner Than Later
Sooner or later
our bodies will fail.
The light will get dimmer,
our skin will grow pale.
Sooner or later
our legs will give out.
Our breath will grow shallow,
we won’t even be able to shout.
Sooner or later,
which one will it be?
Well, it really doesn’t matter,
for it’s not up to us you see.
Oh, we will try to eat healthy
and exercise when we can,
but it’s not about the sooner or the later,
it is all about God’s plan.
See, being Christians and believers,
there is nothing that could be greater.
I pray all will find out,
yes, sooner than later!

I’m Thinking Of You
I am thinking of you
are you thinking of me?
When I am near you,
a caring person is what I see.
I am thinking of you,
today, just like yesterday past.
The more I think of you,
the longer the thought lasts.
I am thinking of you,
heart pictures come to mind.
I always thank the Lord above,
for you are, a special friend of mine.
Do you think of me?
Oh, I pray you do.
This poem was written,
so you know, I’m thinking of you.

Jesus Has My Back
My body is being attacked,
no peace can I find.
Even in my solitude,
the enemy invades my mind.
Where can I find relief?
Which way do I turn?
Where will my help come from?
What is it I must learn?
Then I opened my Bible,
Psalm 121, I started to read.
“My help comes from the Lord”,
is what it said to me.
No matter what is against me.
No matter how severe the attack.
What I read from the Bible is
“Jesus has my back!!!!”

You Showed Us All
You showed us all
what church should be.
To laugh when happy,
to reach out when in need.
You showed us all
what Jesus would do,
to help when asked,
and be a friend so true.
You showed us all
because you cared,
you opened your lives
so we could share.
But now it’s time
for a fond farewell.
You will always be family,
you showed us well!

Grab Onto Him
I was up on top of the mountain
and said, “I really like it here.”
For on top of the mountain
the air felt so clean and God so very near.
Everything seemed to be brighter,
I could see all around.
I didn’t have any cares,
I really didn’t want to go back down.
For now in the valley
it is different as can be.
Darkness is just about everywhere,
so many problems for all you see.
But what these two have in common,
not many can understand.
See, whichever one you happen to be,
you will find God’s outstretched hand.
So praise Him in the good times,
yes, praise Him in the bad.
Make sure to grab onto Him,
you will be glad you had.

Life Changes
One day you’re happy,
then one day you’re sad.
One day you can lose
all that you have.
One day all seems so clear,
then one day you’re in a fog.
You say to yourself,
“How can all go so wrong?”
Life changes my friends,
by what sometimes we choose.
Maybe what you decide today,
could be why tomorrow you may lose.
But praise be to God
when life changes come our way,
for He never changes,
day after day after day.

A Minute to Win It
A minute to win it
or a lifetime instead.
Be careful for we don’t know
when this life will really end.
A minute to win it
or a life with Christ you can lose.
It really all comes down to
what is it that you choose.
See, everyone can be a winner
and sadly many are not.
For to win is Jesus,
He is what winning and life is all about.
So take a minute now,
think of it, as it was your last.
Did you win or did you lose?
That minute is now in the past!

I Gave
I gave my eyes,
so someone could see.
I gave my heart,
no longer needed by me.
I gave my skin,
my lungs once filled with air.
I had no more need for them,
I gladly gave because I cared.
See, I gladly gave
what isn’t diseased,
for when this life is over,
it is of no use to me.
But there is one thing,
I can not give,
it is my soul
and it returns to Him.
Everything else
was not my own
for I will be new again,
when my soul returns home.

Will There Be Birthdays In Heaven
I often wondered
if there will be
birthdays in Heaven
to celebrate for you and me.
Will there be candles
sitting on a cake?
Will there be presents?
Will this be a reason to celebrate?
Well, I believe
the answer to be,
yes, because in Jesus,
we do believe.
But until that day comes
this will have to do,
this poem was written,
to say, “Happy Birthday to you!”

I Am Thinking Of You
I wrote this poem to let you know
I am thinking of you today.
I was hoping that you also
are thinking of me in someway.
I think about you often,
I vision your tender smile.
The thoughts of you warm my heart
and linger for quite a while.
I say your name, then picture your face.
I think back to your caring ways.
Yes, I am thinking of you,
for it helps me as I go throughout my day.
So as I think about you,
I pray you truly understand.
Just being able to think of you,
makes me realize how blessed I am!

I Have A Friend
I have a friend
I do not know,
and yet I read
my friend loves me so.
I asked the Lord,
“How can this be?”
His answer came back,
“Because your friend truly loves Me!”
I said, “My Lord, I love You too”,
Then the Lord said,
“Good, I see that
I am getting through.
See, love is not love,
unless it starts with Me.
I loved you both first,
that’s how it had to be.”

When It Rains It Pours
When it rains it pours
is what they say.
Sometimes our problems are few,
sometimes they never go away.
Problems like raindrops,
may just sprinkle down.
Then all of a sudden,
there is no relief to be found.
But God in all His mercy,
knew troubles like rain there would be.
That is why, my friends, He cries out,
“Please, just believe in Me!’
See, He will shelter us in the downpours.
He will keep us dry with His Word.
His Gospel message assures us of that,
what a message that is to be heard.

Those Not As Lucky As Me
I opened my eyes and saw
all the things I could see.
Then I stopped and thought of
those not as lucky as me.
I reached out my hand
and could grab just what I need.
Then what came to mind was
those not as lucky as me.
I started to walk,
then I started to run.
So many things I take for granted
that make this life fun.
But what is important
for me to know and to see,
I could lose what I take for granted
just like those did, not as lucky as me.
So be grateful for what you have,
share with others that are in need.
For someone might look at you and say,
you’re surly not as lucky as me!

Every Morning
Every morning when I first awake,
I thank my Lord, who is my life, and my love.
For He has given me another day
to serve Him from above.
He has granted me this day
to be His hands, His feet and His Word.
To share with others that have not known,
the sweetest Gospel ever heard.
To help the needy and the poor,
to help heal the broken hearts.
To share His love with all I meet,
as He did with me, from the start.
See, the reason He has granted me
this day in which I’m here to live,
is because it is how on this earth
He can still reach the lost and still give.
Yes, give the gift of Salvation,
that through His grace we all can receive.
For through that special gift is also found
Deliverance, health, prosperity, if only you’d believe.

The Golden Guitar
An angel walked into the throne room,
a golden guitar is what he saw.
He looked up at Jesus and asked,
“What is that for?”
Jesus smiled and said,
“This is for someone special who just arrived today,
He made many people smile and feel good,
for a guitar he knows how to play.”
Then in walked Bill Burkey,
Jesus smiled with a great big grin!
He said, “Here’s that special guitar, Bill,
it’s just for you, My friend!”
So Bill picked up the Golden Guitar,
his fingers softly touched the strings.
“Amazing Grace”, “To God Be The Glory”
he played, and with the angels did sing.
So thank You Jesus,
for on this earth Bill Burkey did stay awhile.
His music and friendship I will miss,
and also that cowboy smile!

was I was special of them all.
It was sent from a special angel
whom God instructed to watch after me.

really touched my heart, you see.
For it was meant to say I love you.
Yes, it was sent from God above.
For He picked this special angel

God U R 4 Me
I picked up the telephone
and dialed “God U R 4 Me”
On the other end I heard,
“Yes my child, what do you want from Me?”
I said, “Lord, I have many friends,
that I want for You to bless.
See, sometimes no matter what we do
our lives can become such a mess.
I want for You to touch my friends
and never leave their side.
Please give them love and comfort
that only You can provide.
Let them know I love them so
and share this love through You.
And also may I make one more request?
Would You bless their families, too?
Well, Thank You for Your time Lord,
for You’re always ready to hear my call.
Just one more thing I want to say,
Lord, I love You most of all!”

Life’s Many Obstacles
I came upon one of life’s many obstacles,
I said, “Lord, how can this be?
It is not letting me continue,
to do what You ask of me.
What can I say, what can I do
to clear it from my path?
How can I remove this obstacle
that is keeping me from my task?”
Then within the moment,
in my heart the Lord did speak.
He said, “Look closely at this obstacle
for in it you will find Me.
See, life’s many obstacles
are put there by choice.
You will learn, grow and get stronger,
and be always listening for my voice.
You will hear Me say, have patience.
You will hear Me say, have no fear.
You should not be looking at it as an obstacle,
but why I brought you here.”
So the moral of this poem,
in life, many obstacles there will be.
It is not about the obstacle,
but that it brings you closer to God, you see!

The Final Battle
The fighter entered the arena,
the final battle was at stake.
His body was weak and beaten,
no more he could give or take
Though it appeared to many who watched,
this battle he could not win.
But God looked down from the heavens
and said, “Yes, today’s battle you will surely win!
For you have fought every battle
that on earth was given you.
You never gave up fighting,
for there is no quit in you.
Though many battles on earth are present,
some more severe than all the rest.
It is in the final earthly battle
where you truly showed your best.
So welcome home, brave fighter,
no more battles will there be.
You have fought the good fight,
now you belong here with Me!”

Why Not You
I have seen so many people
lost, hurting and confused.
Then as I looked at my life,
I wondered why I did not lose.
So many people hurting,
their bodies filled with pain.
Then as I looked at my life,
I wondered why it wasn’t the same?
Then within a heartbeat
my life changed like I’ve never known.
Pain was ever present within
and fear within me had grown.
I cried out to the Heavens,
“Lord, why is this happening to me?
I am now one of the hurting,
Lord, please tell me how can this be?”
Then within the moment,
I became quiet through and through.
The answered rang from above,
“My Child, why not you?
You are no different
than any Child of Mine,
in this life you will all have problems,
see it is only a question of time.
So remember to live each day
the very best you can,
and remember I am with you always,
yes, in the good as well as the bad.”

The Animals Really Knew
The star was over Bethlehem
and the manger was all aglow.
Mary, Joseph and the Christ Child,
side by side in the hay, all in a row.
Then came the three Wise men,
kneeling with their gifts from afar.
They came to see this Special One,
by following Bethlehem’s star.
Not many in the city
knew why this Child had come.
But it appeared that the animals knew,
as they looked at each other one by one.
Yes, they knew Him as their Creator,
and the One who gives them food.
He also gave them shelter,
oh yes, the animals really knew.
See, the animals knew more that the humans
because they just rely on need.
Maybe one day we could be as smart,
all it takes is to truly believe!

Happy Anniversary
Another year
of laughter and tears.
Another year
of happiness and fears.
Another year
of sunshine and rain.
Another year,
each one never the same.
Another time
to be thankful above,
for it was another year
that was filled with love.
So there is only one thing
that is left to be said.
Happy Anniversary,
Yep, it’s that day again!

My Far Away Friend
I have a friend
so far away,
who always (on Faith-book) stops by
and says hi each day.
Though many miles
can keep us apart,
we both know there is
no distance within the heart.
So Lord I pray,
please tend to my friend’s needs,
because we are friends of the heart,
with our eyes we need not see.
Because we are Christians,
I know one day will come,
when my Faith-book friend and I
together will hear You say, “Well done!”

Chance
This is my story,
I was lost and alone.
All I wanted was to be happy
and have a good home.
I wanted to be loved,
to be able to play and dance.
I needed someone to care
and give me a chance.
Day after day,
it was always the same,
“Not this one, he’s too old,
he looks like he’s lame.”
But then one day
I was blessed as could be,
my master came in
and said she wanted me.
She said, “I know what it’s like
when life seems so wrong,
you should be with me,
yes, together we belong!”
So now I am happy,
I have a home and I’m free,
my master named me “Chance”,
for she took a chance with me.

Your Vote
Who you vote for is your business,
it has nothing to do with me.
But if your vote is not a Godly vote,
then with God your business will be.
Who will you vote for?
The question crosses your mind.
Were you swayed by a television ad,
or in the scriptures did the answer you find?
The answer to me is always simple,
“Would God vote this way?”
Is it something that Jesus did die for,
or was it because of the world I am swayed?
So today is Election Day,
how you vote is up to you!
As you walk into the voting booth,
I pray God is in there too!

In Just A Moment
In just a moment a life can change
for either the good or the bad.
In just a moment you would wish
you didn’t do what you had.
In just a moment you can change life
from just a word that is said.
In just a moment you can scar someone,
carrying that scar through their life ahead.
So let us stop before that moment comes,
let us think of what it would do.
Will it be a moment to lift someone up
or take them lower before you are through?
Let first give a moment to God,
yes, even before we speak.
See, in just a moment He will guide us,
if only His wisdom we do seek!

He Is There
I didn’t have an envelope
to put my offering in.
I didn’t have a hymn book,
so to Him I could sing.
I didn’t have a Bible
to understand His Word.
I just sat in silence wondering,
how can I be heard?
He told my heart be patient
and to bow my head in prayer.
He told me to believe in Him
with all my heart, for He will always be there.
So the moral of this poem, my friends,
though with your eyes you can not see.
Know He will always be there,
just like I know He is for me.

Blessed Memories
I looked for your cardinals,
but they were no where to be found.
I watched the snow fall from the sky
and then gently kiss the ground.
I walked the paths that we did walk,
together, hand in hand,
but some of the beauty I no longer see
in this, God’s winter wonderland.
For your beauty is no longer here with me,
it is just God’s beauty now to behold.
He blessed me with your memory
on that day He called you home.
But we will always be together,
for in love there is no other way.
One day I will be called home too,
thank You Jesus, for that day!

Daniel Peter OLCZAK
When I first met Dan,
he asked me if I knew the Lord?
His face glowed as he spoke of the Savior,
then he also spoke from the Word.
He told me how he loves Jesus,
and how he wants others to love Jesus too!
I smiled and told Dan that I knew Jesus
and always ask Him for things to do.
So together we sang praises,
our love of Jesus filled the room.
Yes, we made a joyful noise to the Lord,
for that is what Jesus wanted us to do.
Well, now Dan is at home with Jesus,
Dan’s work on this earth is done.
He ran the good race and kept his eyes on Jesus,
yes, the earthly battles are now won!
So thank You Lord for Dan’s earthly life,
and being able to share You with others.
It was a pleasure singing with Dan,
a friend and in You also a brother!

Happy New Year, You Choose
The champagne is bubbling, the balloons popping,
well wishes for the New Year fill the air.
Church pews are empty, evil is rampant,
no sight of God is found anywhere.
Yes, the New Years coming, people celebrating,
hopes and dreams for things to change.
But how can this be if not with God,
for it can only happen by calling out His name.
See, many, many years ago it was just like now,
people turned to evil and not to God’s loving grace.
So you can read from the Bible, in Genesis 6 verse 6-7,
that an angered God wanted to remove the human race.
God regretted making His fondest creation
and in His heart He began to grieve.
But if you read verse 8, my friends,
in Noah, God found someone who did believe.
So I don’t know about you, my friends,
for this New Year and all the rest, I dedicate to Him.
See, if we keep going like we are presently,
without God, it is impossible to win!

A New Year Poem for You!
This New Year poem is written to you,
may you be blessed beyond compare.
May this year bring you peace, love and comfort,
that may have been missing in the past years.
May your energy and strength be renewed,
with each new day of this New Year.
May you continue to touch the lives of others,
as you have done mine, just knowing you are near.
May your troubles always be small ones,
and may any darkness quickly turn to light.
May you always believe and understand
that you are so precious in God’s Holy sight.
So there is only this left in closing,
to make this poem complete,
what really will make this New Year special,
is each hug you give, each time that we shall meet!
Happy New Year!

Goodbye Poem

Goodbye Poem
(Best wishes David and Bernice)
I wrote a poem for your UPC beginning,
so I thought I would write one for the end.
I thank you both for your time spent here
and pray as you leave you consider me a friend.
I know there are mixed emotions you take with you,
and the memories some good and maybe some bad.
But what is most important is thanking God for His leading,
for without Him we will always not be happy, but sad.
So I wish you both God’s many blessings
as you travel on life’s ever challenging path.
May each person you meet come closer to Jesus
as you continue looking upward and forward, not back.
I have learned God’s ministry work can be very demanding,
sometimes questioning why and where we are sent.
But I also know sharing Jesus with so many others,
it most definitely makes our time well spent!
God’s love and mine to you both!

Three Crosses and a Heart
I went up to Calvary’s hill
and what did I see?
Three crosses and a heart
calling out to me.
My Lord was in the middle,
bleeding and dying in shame.
Then He looked through loving eyes
and then He called out my name.
See, His Cross stood for the sin of men,
the heart stood for Jesus’ love.
He said, “Father please forgive them”,
as He cried out to His Father above.
Three crosses and a heart,
yes, that’s the way it had to be.
Our hearts can beat as One,
if only we all will believe!

Lord, What Can I Do For You?
I got up this morning and said,
“Lord, what can I do for You?”
He said, “My child, I am not the one in need,
but look for others and see what you can do.
Be My feet to bring them food,
be My hands to hold them tight,
be My mouth to speak the Word
to let them know everything will be all right.
Be My ears to hear them cry,
be My eyes to see their pain,
let them know that I am there,
with them every step of the way.
So many that are in need,
so many that still just don’t see.
Show them what I am like, My child,
that’s what you can do for Me.”
E. P. Shagott
What I Have, He Gave
What I have, He gave.
I got nothing on my own.
The air I breathe and water I drink
come from Him and Him alone.
The food I eat, the clothes I wear,
all from my Savior above.
The family and friends that are in my life,
He gave so I could understand and experience love.
The money I earn so that I can live
is what He provided to me.
All He asked is to give 10% back,
so through His church more would see.
They will see it is all His,
because of His love, He gave.
And the most important gift we get,
each one of our souls, if we ask, He saves!

A Poem For Dorothy
I met a woman through God's love
and Dorothy was her name.
Ever since the day we met
our lives were not the same.
Dorothy was lost and confused,
on her heart she had something to tell.
With tears streaming down her face,
she said, "I don't want to go to hell!"
I took her hand in mine
and asked if Jesus she knew?
She looked me in the eyes and said,
"I'm not sure if I do!"
We said the sinners prayer together,
then I shared with her God's love.
Neither one of us will be the same,
all because of the Father above.

For My Facebook Friends
I don’t have many friends on Facebook,
compared to others, just a few.
But what I look for when I read their postings,
is if Christ is shining through.
And if I meet a non-Christian,
I pray that from me they can find a way
to understand like I do,
that Jesus loves them everyday.
So when I post a message,
or answer when I am touched,
I pray the person reading it,
understands it is God blessing us.
Please bless my friends on Facebook, Lord
and be with them day and night.
May they understand as I do,
we are all so precious in Your sight.

Friends Don’t Forget Friends
Friends don’t forget friends,
that’s why I haven’t forgotten you.
It doesn’t matter if you’re miles away,
or if between us, only just a few.
Our lives were brought together
for a reason that only God knows for true.
See, it was a connection made in Heaven,
He connected me to you.
So please don’t forget me,
just because I am out of sight.
And if I made you mad,
I surly want to make things right.
Friends don’t forget friends,
though being apart, it does not help.
If you could listen to my heart right now,
you would hear it definitely yell!
"Please don’t forget me,
for I have not forgotten you.
You will always be my friend for life,
that’s how I feel, what about you?"
E. P. Shagott
How Do I Believe
How do I believe someone asked,
in a God I can not see?
How can I be sure
that God really loves me?
How can I know,
when in trouble He is really there?
How can I be rest assured
that God really cares?
Well, for me the answer is simple,
all you have to do is open your eyes.
Look all around and see
where all His beauty lies.
Open up His Word
that hasn’t changed since day one.
Listen to all His praises
from hymns that are being sung.
Then ask any believer,
that loves Him with all their heart.
They truly understand there is a God,
who loved us from the start.
E. P. Shagott
I Want More Of Jesus
I want more of Jesus,
I just can’t get enough.
I really try to fill up the most
when this life gets tough.
I want more of Jesus,
my heart cries out for more.
Once you feel His presence,
you want more than the day before.
I want more of Jesus,
for that is how my life is now.
Ever since I surrendered to Him,
I have that hunger in me somehow.
I want more of Jesus,
I pray you feel the way I do.
Jesus is what I live for,
He is what gets me through!

On The Way To The Cross
On the way to the cross
He thought about us,
He loved us through
His hurting and His pain.
But it had to be done
for the victory to be won,
so that through His death
we all will gain.
Though not many would know
and their actions did show,
that for so many
it was just all for naught.
But His Word was left
so that all could get,
loves lesson and truth
could be taught.
On the way to the cross
Jesus thought of us,
He said, “Father,
please just blame Me!”
Let Me take Your wrath
so this can be their path,
to be with us
through all Eternity.
So His Father agreed
and said, “Son come to Me,
You have done My will
so they all can be free.
They now have the task
al they must do is ask
Jesus, my Lord
and Savior, please be!”
Yes, through the cross
Jesus proved His love for us,
all we have to do
is just believe!
E. P. Shagott
Going Back
Every breath we take is from the present
thanks to God it does not lack.
But every now and then there are times
I wished I could go back!
Back to friends and family
and times that made me smile.
Back to places I liked to visit
oh yes, just for a little while.
Back to times when I felt at peace
and also not so old.
Back to see love ones that are gone,
the ones we no longer can hold.
But we know this wish can never be
and God also knew from the start.
So in each child of His,
He gave them a special heart.
A heart that will always hold memories
with space that will never lack.
All because of His love for us,
He gave us a way to go back!
